Kickstarter Update and MASSive Comic Con
At only a week into the Kickstarter for the Lady of Innsmouth it is now fully funded! I'm so excited that the project has gone so well so far. If you haven't checked it out yet you really should. I just revealed our stretch goal: If we reach $4,000 all backers will receive a digital copy of a short story written about the Lady of Innsmouth by Joshua Goodreau.

In a little less than 2 weeks I'll be at MASSive Comic Con in Worcester, Massachusetts, June 27-28. I'll be there with my art and jewelry, including the Lady of Innsmouth. On Saturday from 11:30-12:30 I'll be doing the Crowd Sourcing Your Project panel with Joseph Schmalke of the comic The Infernal Pact. It's my first time being on a panel at a convention so I'm really looking forward to it.

The Lady of Innsmouth Kickstarter has Launched

It's been an amazing less-than-24 hours. Since I launched the Kickstarter yesterday (a day earlier than planned) it's already hit half it's funding goal.

The Lady of Innsmouth is 8 1/2 inches tall, I started working on her around March of last year and just recently finished her. My goal through the whole process was to mold and cast her in resin, once I added up everything I was going to need to do the casting run I realized it just wasn't in my budget. Thankfully Kickstarter exists and lets me raise money to create a project in advance. If you back the Lady of Innsmouth you can select from several reward options that will get you a completed Lady of Innsmouth statue in three different finished (white resin, limited edition hand painted resin, and cold cast bronze) as well as some lower cost rewards like bookmarks, and art print, or a resin tentacle. So go ahead and check it out.

New Sculpture, Crowdfunding, and Events

I have a lot going on right now. It's pretty exciting. First up, I finished a sculpture I've been working on for over a year: the Lady of Innsmouth. She's an 8 1/2 inch tall but inspired by the Shadow Over Innsmouth by H.P. Lovecraft. Of course I took a more sympathetic view of the denizens of Innsmouth than Lovecraft, imagining them as alien and aquatic but still striking and beautiful. That the revulsion of outsiders was out of fear of the unknown not because they were truly monstrous looking. I'm working on a video of the creation process and I'll be posting that in the next couple weeks.

Along with finishing her I've decided to take this sculpture to the next level and mold and cast her. To afford to do this I'm going to be launching a Kickstarter campaign next month. Visit the page I set up for the Lady of Innsmouth to learn more about the project. If you would like to be notified of when it launches either like my page on Facebook or sign up for my mailing list.

Next up are events. Right now I have 5 between June and the end of September. First up is MASSive Comic Con in Worcester, Massachusetts, June 27-28. There's also another couple comic cons, a steampunk fair, and the big one Necronomicon in Providence RI. More on where I'll be exhibiting this summer will be available on my events page.
